United Collection Bureau, Inc. announced today that it has appointed Sanju Sharma as the CEO and President of the company.

Sharma has over 15 years of experience in call center collection management.  He has been the COO of UCB for the past 4 years.  Prior to joining UCB, he helped Intellirisk (IRMC) start up a center in Florida in 2002.  Prior to his career at IRMC, Sharma also had significant consulting experience in call center development and strategies.

“Sanju Sharma has been a very important factor in UCB’s growth recently.  Through his management and leadership, UCB has nearly tripled in size over the past four years,” said Harold “Sam” Rickard, Owner and Chairman of UCB.  Rickard added, “Mr. Sharma has a vision and growth plan for our company that is very exciting to all of us here at UCB.”

Sharma has held various positions in the collection industry.  Upon graduating from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor’s degree in Finance, he started as a collector and learned all aspects of the business during his career.  “Through our talented management personnel in place, I am excited to work with the team to achieve our goals as a company,” said Sharma.  “The importance of showing every employee in our organization success is paramount in reaching our company goals.  Success should be shared by every employee at every level, and by working together, that is the culture we have built, and will continue to maintain at UCB.”

UCB currently has 9 fully operating call centers in the United States.  In addition, UCB just opened a 420-seat call center in San Jose, Costa Rica.  According to Sharma, by the end of the year UCB will also open a 475-seat call center in Tucson, Arizona.  “UCB’s primary focus is to ensure we are servicing our clients needs and that our clients are completely satisfied with us.  Having capacity enables us to have a better disaster recovery plan, as well as giving us capacity to grow our business,” said Sharma.

UCB, headquartered in Toledo, Ohio, is a 48 year old company that currently employs over 1200 associates.
